Grant Helps Those Suffering from Civil Unrest in Colombia (6/10/02)

Posted: 6/10/2002

Episcopal Relief and Development has awarded a $25,000 emergency grant to the Diocese of Colombia following continued conflict and civil unrest in the rural region of Chocó. Kidnappings, violence, and a deadly church explosion have caused thousands of civilians to flee. The funds will provide food aid, cooking utensils, soap, and clothing to be distributed through the diocesan mission in Quibdo, the municipal capital city.

We send emergency supplies after disasters such as floods, earthquakes, and civil unrest. We provide:

emergency food
water
medicines
shelter
other critical supplies
