EPISCOPAL Relief and Development sent an emergency grant of $25,000 to the Diocese of El Salvador to assist thousands of Salvadorans in the aftermath of a major earthquake on January 13. The emergency funds will provide food, water and basic shelter.
In the past few months, EPISCOPAL Relief and Development has been in ongoing dialog with the Rt. Rev. Martin Barahona about the development needs of the diocese and expects to now shift the focus to relief and rehabilitation after the tragedy.
