ERD awarded the Church of the Province of West Africa an emergency grant of $5,000 after the tragic stampede following a soccer match on May 9, 2001, at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana. The funds will provide needed items to injured victims and help for families of the deceased. Over 120 soccer fans lost their lives in the accident.
