Team Leader applications now accepted for Nuevo Amanecer 2018

Team Leader applications now accepted for the Nuevo Amanecer 2018 Design Team.

Nuevo Amanecer is a biennial event co-sponsored with the Episcopal Church’s Office of Latino/Hispanic Ministries and Kanuga Camp and Conference Center in partnership with the Latino Ministries Office of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).

Nuevo Amanecer 2018 will be held August 27-30, 2018 at Kanuga Camp and Conference Center in Hendersonville, NC. 

“Nuevo Amanecer offers practical tools and a network of support to better equip for ministry those working, or intending to work, within the Latino/Hispanic community,” explained the Rev. Canon Anthony Guillén, Episcopal Church Missioner for Latino/Hispanic Ministries.

Team leaders will work with the Nuevo Amanecer 2018 Executive Committee, comprised of Guillén along with the two event co-coordinators, the Rev. Samuel Borbon of the Diocese of Oregon and the Rev. Dixie Roberts Junk of Kansas, along with Wendy Pineda of Texas, budget and finance administrator.

Team leaders will develop, plan, coordinate, and direct the following teams: Event Space, Interpretation/Translation, Media & Communications, Program, Registration, Transportation, and Worship.
