Posted: 3/29/2002
An emergency grant of $25,000 was given to the Diocese of Long Island's Family Consultation Service following the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Through this Consultation Service, the Diocese is assisting families suffering from emotional trauma or the loss of employment caused by the tragedy. The funds will provide financial assistance, counseling, case management, as well as referrals to employment assistance agencies and mental health professionals.
