Posted: 4/15/2002

Episcopal Relief and Development has awarded an additional $650,000 to Episcopal Charities of the Diocese of New York to help meet the continued needs of low-income individuals who lost their jobs at the World Trade Center following September 11, 2001.

The funds will provide families with financial and case management assistance that includes credit counseling, job training, and job placement services. These services focus on the long-term needs of families by helping them become financially secure.

How ERD is making a difference...

Countries
We lift communities out of poverty around the world in areas such as Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. We partner with local organizations in the Anglican Communion to ensure vulnerable people have healthy food to eat and get proper health care.

Domestic
We provide critical supplies to people through local dioceses after natural and human-made disasters. We partner with the dioceses to get life-saving aid to children and their families and stay with communities after the crisis to provide ongoing support.
