These funds will provide emergency food and clothing supplies for 24-hour rescue workers. In collaboration with the General Theological Seminary, Seamen's Church Institute is maintaining a well-stocked canteen and a place of refuge for rescue workers to rest and replenish their energy.

The Seamen's Church Institute is an ecumenical agency affiliated with the Episcopal Church and located near the site of the disaster. Contributions for this tragedy should be made payable to Episcopal Relief and Development and designated for September 11 Disaster Fund. Mail contributions to:

How ERD is making a difference...

Countries
We lift communities out of poverty around the world in areas such as Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. We partner with local organizations in the Anglican Communion to ensure vulnerable people have healthy food to eat and get proper health care.

Domestic
We provide critical supplies to people through local dioceses after natural and human-made disasters. We partner with the dioceses to get life-saving aid to children and their families and stay with communities after the crisis to provide ongoing support.
