Flood Relief Awarded to Diocese of Lexington

Posted: 10/12/2001

A $25,000 emergency grant was awarded to the Diocese of Lexington in wake of the flooding in Eastern Kentucky. As a result of severe storms and torrential rain, floods and mudslides have caused extensive damage to homes and property in the area. These funds will help rebuild a medical and dental facility in the Mud Creek clinic and provide emergency housing, building materials, food pantry, school supplies, clothing, and other essential supplies for families affected by the flooding.

How ERD is making a difference...

Countries
We lift communities out of poverty around the world in areas such as Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. We partner with local organizations in the Anglican Communion to ensure vulnerable people have healthy food to eat and get proper health care.

Domestic
We provide critical supplies to people through local dioceses after natural and human-made disasters. We partner with the dioceses to get life-saving aid to children and their families and stay with communities after the crisis to provide ongoing support.
