The Way of the Cross: Stories of Crosses Loved & Lived is written by women from across the Episcopal Church as they reflect on what it means to love, and to live, the cross in their service to Christ.
Featured are the wonderful and unique crosses that are passed from ECW President to ECW President within many of the Dioceses in the Episcopal Church USA. Opening with a reflection on St. Helena of Constantinople’s search for the “true cross,” this book includes 26 Diocesan ECW Presidents, the ECW President of Taiwan, the Province IV, V, and VII ECW Presidents, and the Bishop of Southwestern Virginia. The book concludes with Phoebe Griswold reflecting on the “true cross” found in the bread of Christ’s body.
The Way of the Cross is published by the Province VII ECW Board, and proceeds provide underwriting for spiritual growth opportunities for the women of the church.
