Churches Seeking Reconciliation and Peace (DOV) is an initiative of the World Council of Churches that calls churches, ecumenical organizations, and all people of goodwill.

The ELCA has a website with a host of worship resources focused on peace from several denominations...including the Episcopal Church.

The 16 Days Campaign(in November,2003) has been used as an organizing strategy by individuals and groups around the world to call for the elimination of all forms of violence against women. See information on the 2003 campaign.

YWCAs celebrates a "Week Without Violence" every second or third week in October. The campaign in its 7th year (2003) highlighted practical, sustainable alternatives to violence in our homes, schools, places of work and communities.
