REGISTRATION INFORMATION



Enrollment is contingent on availability and receipt of full payment.  Registration concludes December 19, 2005.  Your enrollment will be confirmed in writing upon receipt of payment.  Any registrations accepted after December 19 are subject to hotel availability, market room rate, and must include a $100.00 late fee.

The size of the meeting is limited to 36 registrants in order to support a seminar format.  Due to contract requirements to secure adequate meeting space, the number of commuter spaces is very limited.  Register early to ensure your space.  To confirm availability e-mail sobrien@episcopalchurch.org or call 800-334-7626, ext. 6003. 

The seminar is sponsored and subsidized by the Office of Congregational Development, and is coordinated by the Episcopal Church Building Fund.  All rooms are single occupancy unless otherwise requested.  The registration fee includes the seminar tuition, four nights lodging, 8 meals, and refreshments breaks.

Payment made by a third party: If payment for your registration is being made by a third party (such as your parish or diocese) it is your responsibility to follow-up to ensure that payment is issued on time.

The following meals are provided:

Breakfast Monday through Thursday
Lunch Monday, Tuesday,  Thursday
Dinner Monday

* The commuter meal package provides the lunches and dinner on Monday.

Guests who are not attending the seminar may join a seminar registrant in the hotel room at no cost.  Guests are welcome at the opening dinner; the cost is $35.00.  The dinner reservation must be paid in advance and is not refundable after Jan. 6.

Additional Nights: The hotel has extended a discounted rate to attendees who arrive the two days prior to or after the seminar.  The rate is $110 per night.  Indicate on your reservation form the additional nights needed and include payment with your registration fee.

ACCOMODATIONS

The meeting and lodging will be at a comfortable and centrally located Doubletree Club Hotel.  The property is within a 20 minute drive of the airport, the historic downtown ‘gas light’ district, the ‘Old Town’ Mexican-theme district, and the famous San Diego Zoo.

Lodging for the seminar begins on the evening of Sunday January 15, 2006, departing on Thursday January 19, 2006.  Each room has a coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, voice mail, and data port.  The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, and a business center.

January 15, Sunday Lodging begins (hotel check-in begins at 4:00 p.m.)
January 16, Monday Seminar begins 9:00 a.m., hosted dinner at 6:00 p.m.
January 17, Tuesday Seminar meets 9:00 a.m.- 5:00p.m.
January 18, Wednesday Seminar meets 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
January 19, Thursday Seminar meets 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Commuters are asked to arrive on time for all sessions. 


GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Airport Arrival:  The hotel is a 20-minute drive from the San Diego International Airport-Lindbergh Field.  Taxi service from the airport averages ~$20.  Shuttle service is available at the airport shuttle stand for ~$10.00

Hotel parking is free.  A car is not required, but groups traveling together may find it convenient for free time and evenings out.  Driving directions will be sent with your confirmation packet.

OTHER

Free Time:  You will have free time to relax or enjoy the sites of San Diego.  The Wednesday session concludes at 12:00 p.m., leaving both the afternoon and evening free.  Many choices are within a short drive.

Entertaining possibilities include: The famous San Diego Zoo, home to Giant Pandas; Safari drive through Wild Animal Park; Sea World; historic Hotel Del Coronado where “Some Like it Hot” was filmed; the picturesque town of La Jolla known for fine dining, ocean views, and resort shopping; golf at the nearby Riverwalk Golf Course; shopping at the upscale Fashion Valley Mall.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to binding contracts required to secure the seminar site the refund policy is stringently applied.  Because the seminar is significantly subsidized, the registration fee does not reflect the cost committed to the hotel property.  Please understand that refunds therefore cannot be adjusted.  Exception: If another registrant fills the space a full refund will be issued.

Cancellation received by December 19 = Full Refund
Cancellation received December 20 - January 6:
Single =  $350 Refund
Commuter =  $150 Refund
Cancellation received after January 6 = No Refund
