Clive Staples Lewis (1898–1963) was the author of The Chronicles of Narnia and a celebrated lay theologian.
Why Lewis?
“C.S. Lewis made it all make sense to me. His book Mere Christianity opened my eyes to the truth of the Gospel when I had become convinced that Christianity was a bunch of silly rot that existed only to help the weak and dumb to bear living in mediocrity. God Bless him for leading me and so many others to the light of Christ.”–Russ, Georgia
“The book that really made my eyes open wide and think, ‘this is a man who is brutally honest and as confused as I am’ was Reflections on the Psalms. For once, a theologian addressed the many problems and pitfalls for the modern reader of poems rooted in a far-distant world, yet still speaking to us as a significant part of scripture. A Grief Observed cemented my respect and awe of his ability to be 'warts and all' honest and express in stark prose the painful travail of losing a loved one.”–Briony, California
