Debra Q. Bennett

The Rev. Debra Q. Bennet has been the priest at Church of Our Saviour in Akron, Ohio, for the past 10 years. She came from the Diocese of Long Island as priest-in-charge in 2012 and was installed as the ninth rector in 2014. Before coming to Akron, she served St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Roosevelt, N.Y., first as deacon-in-charge in 2009 and then priest-in-charge in 2010 after her ordination to the priesthood. She has served on various diocesan commissions and committees, including the Diocesan Standing Committee and Commission on Ministry. Additionally, she has served as a spiritual advisor on youth Happening weekends. Mo. Deb is a three-time deputy to General Convention and currently serves as chair of the Ohio deputation. She is one of the members of the TENS Board of Directors (class of 2021) and will be serving a three-year term. An avid collector of cookbooks (at least a 100), this foodie loves to prepare gourmet meals for friends, family and, of course, herself.
