This week we hear from Peter once again! Last week we heard as Peter preached repentance after he and John healed the crippled beggar. This week we learn that there were further consequences for that miracle and for the increased membership in this fledgling religion. As the church has grown drastically in membership in just a short time, the temple authorities are weary of the apostles and their actions. This week’s scripture finds Peter and John speaking testimony to the Authorities the morning after their arrest.

Lesson Plan for Younger ChildrenDownload

Lesson Plan for Older ChildrenDownload

New Testament Lesson Plans: The Good Shepherd

Scripture: John 10:11-18

For the rest of the Easter Season, we have stories Jesus shared before the crucifixion. Now, in the light of the resurrection, they take on a powerful new value. Jesus is portrayed as the Good Shepherd. Even though sheep are not part of our lives like sheep were for the people who first heard these stories, we can resonate to the concept of a shepherd who knows his own and whose own know him. We belong to this shepherd. Yet, if, as Jesus tells us, he has other sheep that are not of this fold that he must bring also, we have work to do – work given to us by the Good Shepherd.

Lesson Plan for Younger ChildrenDownload

Lesson Plan for Older ChildrenDownload

Lesson Plan for AdultsDownload

Acts Lesson Plans: What’s in a Name?
