12:30 PM  Empowering women cross-culturally for transformation

How we listen across cultural differences affects the value of what we accomplish together in empowering women.  Drawing on cross cultural research and examples from Africa and the African diaspora, this interactive discussion will present ways women empower one another through active listening, mutual support and collaboration. Following the panel discussion led by UNICEF’s Semhar Araia, the audience will participate in a brief contextual listening exercise based on Indaba principles.
