Looking At Interpersonal Violence Through A Theological Lens

Wednesday, January 23, 2013

Join the L.O.V.E. (Liberate Ourselves, Value Everyone) Task Force on Non-Violent Living, to honor one another in building communities of men and women awake, aware, and equipped to promote non-violent living. As the third in a monthly series of events responding to interpersonal violence in all its forms, we will gather at 7 P.M. in The Church of the Holy Trinity to share and move towards understanding, appropriate response and the transformation of lives. This promises to be a lively evening discussing how the prevalence of interpersonal violence impacts partnerships and marriages begun in love, especially through sacred vows given in marriage within our faith traditions. Moderator Dr. Victoria Rollins, theologian and advocate, will lead an interactive discussion with audience members and dedicated panelists from the organization Voices of Women joining as community activists the Rev. Lisa Bollan-Boyer, Ms. Deborah Berger and Ms. Elizabeth Rojas. We will explore ways to address concerns and share testimony, insight, recommendations for change, and hope towards forming transformative communities of compassion and just living, heart to heart.
