Episcopal Youth Event 2014: page two

Registration for the Episcopal Youth Event (EYE) 2014 is coming soon, and there is some important work that each diocese must do in preparation.



Each diocese must identify a registrar and a logistics coordinator for their diocesan delegation. These names should be submitted to Valerie Harris in the Youth Ministries Office by November 15, 2013, using this link.


Each diocese may register up to 24 high-school-aged youths. This means that youths are enrolled in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade during the 2013-2014 school year.


Each diocese will send one adult for every four to six youths, with a maximum of six adults for a group of 24 youths. No more than one adult per four youths will be permitted to attend. All adults must have completed the Prevention of Sexual Misconduct training and must have a current (within 5 years) criminal/sexual background check on file in their sending diocese.


Registration webinars will be scheduled in November 2013. All registrars must be capable of participating in an online webinar. Registration will open in January 2014, and will remain open until March 15, or when dorm capacity is reached, whichever happens first. Deposits will be due at the time of registration. Registration will be completed electronically. Each diocese will be responsible for completing all forms and conducting background checks on all participating adults.
