Need a last-minute series for Lent, or an advance on Advent?

Building on the theme of "Becoming Beloved Community" -- a goal to which Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has called the Episcopal Church in its ongoing work of racial healing, a joint Episcopal-Lutheran study series has been adapted for Lent and/or Advent by the diocesan Program Group on Ecumenical and Interfaith Life. Weekly installments offered lend themselves for use during Lent or Advent, say members of the program group, itself a joint body of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles and the Southwest California Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Following are links to the weekly units; efforts continue to provide the series in Spanish. For further information, contact the Very Rev. Canon Frank Alton of the Cathedral Center, or the Rev. Elizabeth Rechter of Stillpoint.
