Updates from the UTO Finance and Archives Committee
Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a way to encourage generosity, service, and support for nonprofits following the themed shopping days beginning with Black Friday and ending with Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday is a day to do good in our communities and around the globe, something we at UTO can get behind. This year, our Giving Tuesday campaign will begin at the end of October and run through the beginning of December so that we can highlight the amazing work taking place right now at UTO grant sites around the globe.
We didn’t just want to share with you what they are doing, but we want to share with you how they feel about having your support to do the work of their grant. You’ll get to see a photo of the project and hear directly from grant recipients. You often hear us say thank you, but we thought you might like to hear about gratitude from those who received the gift of your generosity. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to get the daily updates from grant sites. We’ve also set up a special giving campaign for Giving Tuesday.
As a part of our Giving Tuesday campaign, we want to pay it forward by raising funds for a 2026 grant. Help us raise $55,000 by sharing our fundraiser on social media (that will be shared as part of our posts). Every penny donated will be given away, but we can’t do any of this without you.
