UTO Gratitude Conference Moves Online – Join Us on April 24

By: The Rev. Canon Heather L. Melton, Staff Officer for the United Thank Offering

As you may have seen, our first gratitude conference has moved from in person in Chicago to online via Zoom. In light of the current level of COVID-19 and our need to help keep people safe by staying at home, the Presiding Bishop has asked that all events be either postponed or moved online. Those of us working on the conference felt that we really wanted to offer the conference online, even if only a handful of people could come, because first and foremost, we think gratitude is exceptionally important right now, and second, we believe that everyone could use something to look forward to and a place to connect with others. The event is free to attend, but you must register here. All those who register will receive an email the day before the conference with the Zoom login and password. We are doing this to ensure we have enough space on Zoom to accommodate everyone who wants to attend. Additionally, the main presentations will be recorded and offered on our website later. (You do not need to register if you want to watch later, you’ll just have to wait until the May E-News to know when they are live on the website.)
