Ecumenical and Interreligious Monthly Call

Join these calls hosted by the church’s Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations on the third Thursday of each month. Hear from leaders of Christian communions, scholar-practitioners from various religious traditions, and representatives of related organizations discussing theology, best practices, and the future of ecumenical and interreligious work. Attendees will receive information and resources to support this work in their own communities.
‘DIY Your Ecumenical and Interreligious Partnerships, II: Ministry with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’
Join this month’s call to hear the Rev. Kirsten Guidero, The Episcopal Church’s director of ecumenical and interreligious relations, speak with seasoned practitioners about how to incorporate the church’s full-communion agreement with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America into your ministry context.
Panelists include:
- The Rev. Nathaniel Anderson, rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Williamstown, Mass.
- The Rev. Deacon Mitzi Budde, professor emerita at Virginia Theological Seminary and deacon at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church
- The Rev. Erik Karas, pastor of Christ Trinity Lutheran Episcopal Church in Sheffield, Mass., and diocesan ecumenical and interreligious officer for the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts
- The Rt. Rev. Donald Kriess, bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Southeast Michigan Synod
- The Rev. Julie Morris, pastor of Mount Cross Lutheran Church in Camarillo, California
