Old Testament Lesson Plans: David Served God
Scripture: 2 Samuel 11:1-15
Since this story is inappropriate for children, we suggest an overview of David as leader for this week.
We continue to remember Israel’s leaders and how they strived to serve God. Each had their own challenges and gifts. The need for faithful leadership continues today and we seek wisdom from how these leaders sought the welfare of their people and showed their devotion to God.
New Testament Lesson Plans: Abundance
Scripture: John 6:1-21
“There is a child here.” How interesting. The disciples do not see how a child could be much help, but Jesus does. The central aspect of our worship together – bread broken, bread shared –first happened when a little boy offered the little loaves in his picnic basket. When Jesus uses the little boy’s willingness to share, abundance is the outcome. Could we choose to risk noticing abundance?
