Episcopalians around the world and in various time zones gathered to welcome the Most Rev. Sean Rowe as the church’s 28th presiding bishop in a first-of-its-kind virtual investiture service, livestreamed Nov. 2 from the Chapel of Christ the Lord at The Episcopal Church Center in New York City.
Episcopal institutions are invited to apply for evangelism grants to support local and regional efforts to grow Episcopal ministries, resources, and gatherings—and to energize the church to share and celebrate the Good News of Jesus Christ. The application deadline is Oct. 28.
The Episcopal Church’s new “Camino Project”—awarded a $1.25 million grant last year from the Lilly Endowment Inc.—is moving forward with input from initial project members and a new program manager as it develops faith-formation resources for culturally diverse family structures and congregations.

Julia Ayala Harris, a deputy from the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma, was reelected June 25 as president of the House of Deputies of The Episcopal Church. Originally elected at the 80th General Convention in 2022, Ayala Harris’ second term as one of the denomination’s two presiding officers begins on June 28 at the close of the church’s 81st General Convention.
