People of all backgrounds and faiths are invited to give generously to the Absalom Jones Fund in support of the work of two historically Black institutions of higher education in cultivating and preparing leaders: Voorhees University and Saint Augustine’s University.

The standing committees and bishops exercising jurisdiction have given the required majority of consents to the Episcopal Diocese of West Missouri for its Nov. 9 election of the Very Rev. Amy Dafler Meaux as bishop. Her ordination is scheduled for May 3.

On Oct. 9, the Rt. Rev. Mary Gray-Reeves, acting in her role as presiding bishop-designate in Title IV matters involving bishops, issued a restriction on the ministry of the Rt. Rev. Marc Andrus, bishop resigned of the Episcopal Diocese of California.

The Rt. Rev. Mary Gray-Reeves, vice president of the House of Bishops, attended the 2024 Anglican Primates’ Meeting in Rome April 26 to May 3 on behalf of Presiding Bishop Michael Curry. Every two years, senior bishops, archbishops, and moderators from the Anglican Communion’s 42 member churches meet for prayer, conversation, study, and fellowship.
