God is With Us! Advent 4 (A) – 2016

Fourth Sunday in Advent and one wonders: What remains to be said about the season? Bear Fruit Worthy of the Gift of Repentance – Advent 2 (A) – 2016

One has to love John the Baptist! Not for his sense of fashion – although camel’s hair clothing is quite trendy. And definitely not his diet. But our fondness for John the Baptist can be rooted in the fact that he is a ‘tell it as it is preacher.’ He doesn’t fit in the box…

Estamos muy cerca a finalizar tanto el año del calendario como el año litúrgico. [RCL]: Isaiah 2:1-5; Psalm 122; Romans 13:11-14; Matthew 24:36-44 The hippopotamus is an awfully deadly animal. When You Think of a King…, Christ the King (C) – 2016

When you think of a king what image immediately comes to mind? A man wearing a crown and regal clothing? Perhaps someone who is powerful living in a royal palace? In the time of Jesus, the ruling monarch of Rome had absolute power on earth and was worshipped as a son of the gods. Any…
