By Karin Elsen, (she/her) UTO Board President
The UTO Board is looking for representatives from Provinces II, III, V, VI, VII, and IX for the 2027-2030 triennium. Applicants need to live in the province they seek to represent. Selected individuals will help shape UTO’s future as we approach the 150th anniversary.
The UTO Board reviews grant applications, supports UTO leaders in dioceses and parishes, and helps carry out UTO’s mission across the church. Board members also serve on one of three committees: Finance and Leadership Development, Formation, and Grants, and work collaboratively.
Applicants should be interested in promoting gratitude among adults, children, families, and groups, and care about UTO’s values, diversity, and creativity, and have a strong desire to serve. Applicants must be at least 18, members of The Episcopal Church, and have a letter of endorsement from a deacon, priest, bishop, or warden. We welcome all, regardless of gender identity, and strongly encourage applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
For more information, please see the job description found here. For Provinces II, III, V, VI, and VII, you can apply here. In Province IX, the UTO Board member is appointed by the Provincial Synod, so please contact them directly. Please contact Heather with any questions.
