Healing the Divide with Indigenous Peoples and the Church

In many ways The Episcopal Church continues to perpetuate theological beliefs and institutional structures that not only obstruct the path to reconciliation but also cause harm in the church’s relationship with Indigenous Episcopalians and communities. This lecture will consider the nature of Western Christian and Indigenous worldviews toward proactive cultural changes in theological thought and organizational practices that can empower all of us to bring healing to the whole church, creation, and our world.
Presented by the Rev. Rachel Taber-Hamilton, vice president of the House of Deputies; rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, Everett, Washington.
Workshops are scheduled for Nov. 9, Dec. 14, Jan. 11, Feb. 8, March 14, April 11, and May 9. Registration provides access to the Zoom link that will be used for each session.
