Becoming Beloved Community Grants



These grants are funded by the General Convention budget and are designed to support projects that seek to create sustainable, systemic change in truth-telling; sharing the dream of Beloved Community; practicing healing and reconciliation; and repairing the breach in institutions and society.

Since 2019, approximately 120 projects have received Becoming Beloved Community grants totaling more than $1 million.

Estas subvenciones se financian con cargo al presupuesto de la Convención General y están diseñadas para apoyar proyectos que busquen crear un cambio sostenible y sistémico en hablar con la verdad, compartir el sueño de la Comunidad Amada, practicar la sanación y la reconciliación y reparar la brecha en las instituciones y la sociedad.

The Episcopal Church’s Becoming Beloved Community grants build capacity in the Church to do the work of racial healing, reconciliation, and justice. The grants may be used for work in these primary fields:
– Telling the truth about our churches and race
– Proclaiming the dream of Beloved Community
– Practicing Jesus’ way of healing and reconciliation
– Repairing the breach in institutions and society
