Our Approach

Our approach to worship fits the relaxed attitude of the Santa Ynez Valley. Services offer prayer, one or two readings from the Bible, music (except at 8 am during the program year), and communion (receiving the blessed bread and wine from the altar). Communion at St. Mark's is open to everyone. Typically refreshments and conversation follow services.

We practice a spacious Christianity in which there is room for absolutely everyone - and in which no one has to check their brain (or any other aspect of their life) at the door.

St. Mark's is two blocks off State Route 154 (San Marcos Pass, Chumash Highway).  The church is the largest building in Los Olivos, one block west of the flagpole at the center of town and next door to Mattei's Tavern.  St. Mark's has a large parking lot on the north side of the church and there is also street parking all around the church.
