St. Michael's is an Episcopal, all inclusive parish of worship, spiritual growth, acceptance, and healing church. Rector pro tem: Rev. Canon James Drinard Smith. "Come Worship with Us" As we grow to be who Jesus wants us to be and do what he wants us to do.
At St. Michael’s we are Christ Focused….“In him you have brought us out of error into truth, out of sin into righteousness, out of death into life” (Book of Common Prayer, p. 368).
Our Statement of Purpose is that we are here to be a spirit-filled community to share the good news of God's love and redemption and to witness this love in the world.
We are a part of the Southern Virginia Diocese. The Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia, formed in 1892, has over 30,000 members and 108 congregations. It stretches from the Atlantic Ocean westward to Dan River, and from the south side of the James River at Richmond to the North Carolina border.
