Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop’s Lenten reflection: A challenge to “take on something new”

“Take on something new” this Lent, Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori challenges in her Lenten video reflection.

Citing prayer, fasting and study as key elements for this penitential season, she notes, “Lent is a time to focus on what is important.”

In the liturgical calendar, Lent is the 40-day season leading up to Easter. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, this year February 17. Easter is Sunday, April 4.
