Following a decision by the Joint Standing Committee on Planning and Arrangements, the General Convention Office has announced the ten legislative dates for the 80th General Convention of The Episcopal Church: Wednesday June 30th to Friday July 9th, 2021.

General Convention 2021 will be held at The Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, Maryland (Episcopal Diocese of Maryland).

Over the next years, the General Convention Office will provide information, materials, educational items and other features about the General Convention, the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland, and Baltimore, MD.

“The Joint Standing Committee on Planning and Arrangements and the General Convention Office are already hard at work to plan and enhance our meeting in Baltimore for the 80th General Convention,” noted the Rev. Canon Dr. Michael Barlowe, executive officer and chair of the committee. “Building upon the successful innovations in Austin, and guided by the evaluations we received, the Committee is excited about our meeting in 2021.”

The Episcopal Church’s General Convention, the bicameral governing body of the Church, is held every three years. It is comprised of the House of Bishops, with upwards of 200 active and retired bishops participating, and the House of Deputies, with clergy and lay deputies elected from the 109 dioceses and three regional areas of the Church, numbering more than 800 members.

Tras una decisión del Comité Permanente Conjunto sobre Planificación y Arreglos, la Oficina de la Convención General anunció las diez fechas legislativas para la 80.ª Convención General de La Iglesia Episcopal: del 30 de junio al viernes 9 de julio de 2021.

La Convención General 2021 se llevará a cabo en el Centro de Convenciones de Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland, (Diócesis Episcopal de Maryland).

Durante los próximos años, la Oficina de la Convención General proporcionará información, materiales, artículos educativos y otras características sobre la Convención General, la Diócesis Episcopal de Maryland y Baltimore, MD.
