Bishops of The Episcopal Church will gather for the House of Bishops spring retreat Feb. 27 to March 4 at Camp Allen in Navasota, Texas. In addition to time for fellowship, sabbath, prayer, and reflection, the bishops will hold a business meeting that will include an update from a few bishops who are members of the constituting group for the Episcopal Coalition for Racial Equity and Justice.

Media members wishing to attend the gathering in person should contact Lisa Webb, associate officer for public affairs, by Feb. 16 for further information and to secure credentials.

The House of Bishops and the House of Deputies comprise the governing body—the General Convention—of The Episcopal Church. These groups meet and act separately, and both must concur to adopt legislation. General Convention meets every three years, and the House of Bishops generally meets twice a year between conventions in a non-legislative capacity.
