The online Annual Report details the work accomplished through the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society (DFMS) budget throughout 2009. The Annual Report is introduced by Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori and divided into three main areas: Organizational Updates, Financial Reports, and Multimedia.

• Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori has visited over 80 percent of the dioceses throughout The Episcopal Church.
• The General Convention office successfully produced and supported the logistics, volunteers, legislative process and publications of the 76th General Convention in Anaheim, CA.
• Mission Funding has raised and/or received commitments for $1.5 million.
• The Office of Government Relations met with the Obama Transition Team on various issues and then with White House and other government officials.
• The Church Planting office assisted diocesan leadership in San Joaquin and Fort Worth.
• The Evangelism Office partnered with Church Planting to offer assistance to new church starts.
• Episcopal Migration Ministries worked with local dioceses engaged in refugee resettlement.
• The Cancionero project evaluated over 800 Latino songs for publication.
• Ethnic Ministries Officers developed a multi-media resource on Cultural Diversity.
• A new resource for faith formation was established to meet the needs of Armed Services members and families.
• Thirteen Young Adult Service Corps volunteers are located in Hong Kong, Colombia, South Africa, The Philippines, Japan, Ecuador and Haiti.
• Significant international work in mission and ministry was posted.
• The Office of Communication launched IamEpiscopalian.org as a place to share video stories.
• The program areas of the Episcopal Church website were redesigned.
• Social media strategy and efforts were instituted, which included Facebook, Twitter, and Wikipedia monitoring.

• Land was purchased in Austin TX for the Archives.
