Nuevo Amanecer, a biennial event that unifies and celebrates the Latino ministries from across The Episcopal Church, will have the honor of hosting Presiding Bishop Michael Curry at their May 12-15, 2020 gathering.

Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, North Carolina, will welcome for the seventh year a diverse group of participants who look forward to the support, networking, tools, formation, and fellowship environment that this conference offers every two years. Lay leaders, clergy, diocesan missioners, parish staff, church planters, and anyone else interested in expanding their knowledge by sharing best practices and exploring new methods of church growth, discipleship and evangelism, are invited to attend.

The formation opportunities at Nuevo Amanecer 2020 will be greater than ever. The selected theme of “Behold, I make all things new” (Rev. 21:5), calls for all Episcopal Latinos and those involved in Latino/Hispanic ministry to envision the new dawn of opportunities that emerge when God’s people walk in the way of love and justice. Speakers include Presiding Bishop Michael Curry, Dr. Damaris de Jesús and Bishop José McLoughlin. More than 30 workshops are planned to train and equip the next generation of Episcopal Latinos with the resources and skills to be agents of love, reconciliation and hope in their communities across the church.

Responding to requests for family-oriented programming, the 2020 program will include a Christian formation component for children and youth. Families with children of all ages are encouraged to attend the conference.

Those not able to participate in person but who want to join in the learning and conversation will have the opportunity to watch the keynote speakers and worship services live-streamed on the Latino/Hispanic Ministries Facebook page Times and dates will be posted on the Latino/Hispanic Ministries Facebook page closer to the May 12-15 event.

Nuevo Amanecer 2020, Conferencia para Ministerios Latino/Hispanos

Nuevo Amanecer, un evento bienal que unifica y celebra los ministerios latinos de toda la Iglesia Episcopal, tendrá el honor de acoger al Obispo Presidente Michael Curry en su próximo encuentro del 12 al 15 de mayo de 2020.

El Centro de Conferencias Kanuga en Hendersonville, Carolina del Norte, recibirá por séptima vez a un número diverso de participantes que esperan con interés el apoyo, la interconexión, las herramientas, la formación y el entorno de hermandad que la conferencia ofrece cada dos años. Se invita la asistencia de líderes laicos, clérigos, misioneros diocesanos, personal parroquial, plantadores de iglesias y cualquier otra persona interesada en ampliar sus conocimientos, compartiendo las mejores prácticas y explorando nuevos métodos de crecimiento eclesial, de discipulado y de evangelización.

Las oportunidades de formación en Nuevo Amanecer 2020 serán mayores que nunca. El tema seleccionado de “He aquí, hago nuevas todas las cosas ” (Ap. 21:5), llama a todos los latinos episcopales y a los involucrados en el ministerio latino/hispano para visualizar un nuevo amanecer de las oportunidades que surgen cuando el pueblo de Dios marcha en el camino del amor y la justicia. Los oradores incluyen el Obispo Presidente Michael Curry, la Dr. Damaris de Jesús y el Obispo José McLoughlin. Se han planeado más de 30 talleres  para capacitar y equipar a la próxima generación de latinos episcopales con los recursos y habilidades adecuados para que sean agentes de amor, reconciliación y esperanza en sus comunidades a través de la iglesia.

Respondiendo a los pedidos por más programación centrada en la familia, el programa de 2020 incluirá un componente de formación cristiana para niños y jóvenes. Se anima a que asistan las familias con niños de todas las edades.

Aquellos que no puedan participar en persona, pero les encantaría unirse al aprendizaje y la conversación, tendrán la oportunidad de ver los oradores principales y los servicios de adoración transmitidos en vivo en la página de Facebook de los Ministerios Latinos/Hispanos.

Con el fin de fomentar la participación de los Latinos/Hispanos Episcopales, Kanuga está ofreciendo becas para todo aquel que lo necesite, adicionalmente el Seminario de Suroeste está ofreciendo becas para los participantes de la Provincia VII.
