Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop and Primate Michael Curry has been discharged from the hospital in Virginia today and is going to his home in North Carolina.

“God is God and I have lived my life trusting in Him,” the Presiding Bishop said.  “And I believe the Church and the world are in God’s hands even when it may not seem like it.”

Presiding Bishop Curry expressed his gratitude for the healthcare team of doctors, nurses and all “who have been helpful to me during the hospitalization.”

The Presiding Bishop will continue his healthcare regimen which includes physical therapy and occupational therapy.

Presiding Bishop Curry and his family are touched by the outpouring of prayers and well wishes. In their thankfulness, they ask for privacy during his recovery.

As noted previously, he plans to conduct a staff meeting on Monday via videoconferencing from his home.

Presiding Bishop Curry was taken to the hospital Sunday, December 6 after a visitation to Bruton Parish Church in Colonial Williamsburg, VA.
