Renewing Dioceses Share Journey In Live Webcast

The journey of renewal by The Episcopal Church”s Dioceses of Fort Worth, Pittsburgh, Quincy, and San Joaquin will be featured in a live webcast on Tuesday, July 7.

The live webcast will originate from the General Convention of The Episcopal Church from 4:15 pm to 5 pm Pacific (5:15 pm Mountain, 6:15 pm Central, 7:15 pm Eastern). It will be shown live on the Media Hub, http://www.episcopalchurch.org/gchub will be available on-demand following the event.

The participants will be the bishops and representatives of the four renewing dioceses. They will discuss the progress, hopes, joys and ministry that is happening in their renewing dioceses. Personal stories of the journey of renewal will be shared.

The Episcopal Church”s General Convention 2009 will be held July 8 – 17 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. The Episcopal Church”s General Convention, held every three years, is the bicameral governing body of the church. General Convention is comprised of the House of Bishops, with upwards of 200 members, and the House of Deputies, with clergy and lay representatives from the 110 dioceses, with approximately 850 members.

The Media Hub website, created by The Episcopal Church's Office of Communication, makes it possible for the first time for people everywhere to experience General Convention and interact with others there.
