Carrie Black finds a home in the Episcopal Church as well as manages The Abbey in Birmingham, Alabama. The Abbey is a community coffee shop in the Avondale neighborhood of Birmingham. It is a nonprofit project of the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama. The Abbey’s mission is to offer a place of hospitality and conversation to the community.

On Thursday, November 10, Thursdays at 2 will feature Carrie Black at The Abbey in Alabama.

Thursdays at 2 is a weekly preview of Episcopal Church innovative ministries. Every Thursday at 2 pm Eastern, a new video illustrating the work of congregations and individuals will be posted on the Episcopal Church’s Facebook page here and YouTube Channel here
