Further to its April 16 announcement making $40,000 financial relief grants available to any diocese, the Episcopal Church Executive Council has released a reflection detailing its path of discernment for supporting the diverse needs of the church’s dioceses amid myriad disruptions to church and life in 2020.
Online Service Planned to Bless the Work of 2022 General Convention
The 80th General Convention of The Episcopal Church will not take place this summer as originally planned due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but bishops, deputies and others will gather on July 17 at 2 p. m. Eastern, for an online convocation to pray for the work of the convention, now scheduled for July 2022.

Episcopal Church Task Force Develops New Training for Safe Church, Anti-Sexual Harassment Policies
A task force created to develop materials for The Episcopal Church related to anti-sexual harassment and safe church policies announces the upcoming launch of nine new training modules. Appointed by General Convention in 2018, the Task Force to Develop Model Sexual Harassment Policies and Safe Church Training surveyed the wider church about what would be most helpful in the trainings and held 18 listening sessions with some of the 403 respondents.
Episcopal Church offers June 1 webinar on refugee integration
In order to help The Episcopal Church’s community learn more about the refugee reception process, Episcopal Migration Ministries and The Episcopal Church’s Office of Government Relations will host a webinar on Tuesday, June 1, from 4 to 5 p.m. ET. Welcoming Our Newest Neighbors: How Americans and The Episcopal Church Integrate Refugees into Their Communities will include a moderated panel discussion followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience.
