Resources for Lent and Easter 2026
Customizable Holy Week and Easter Videos
The Episcopal Church’s Office of Communication is proud to present two downloadable video pieces for use by your congregation. The videos, available in English, Spanish, and French, can be customized with information about your congregation’s service times through Canva. Instructions and video files can be found in each language.
Lenten Meditations from Episcopal Relief & Development
Written by Sister Monica Clare, an Episcopal nun, author and unlikely TikTok star, our 2026 meditations offer an invitation to rediscover—or deepen—holy habits of prayer, worship and engagement with Scripture. These “holy habits” provide a path to a life that is given shape, meaning and direction by being rooted in a deeper relationship with God.
Renewal & Hope video series
This Lent, Seminary of the Southwest is offering a new Lenten project that invites the wider church into a season of renewal and hope. Designed to accompany the first five weeks of Lent, the series creates space for prayer, conversation, and faithful reflection on repentance, discipleship, and the promise of new life.
Invitation
Add seasonal service times, descriptions, and languages to your church’s pin on the Episcopal Asset Map. You don’t need a log-in to suggest the change; just find your Episcopal place, click on it, and select “Update This Place.” Need help updating more? Check out our video playlist from Episcopal Relief & Development.
Gratitude
Lenten materials offered by the United Thank Offering in 2026 are inspired by the book The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer. They include a webinar panel discussion featuring Indigenous leaders discussing gratitude and reciprocity, as well as resources for adults and children.
UTO is offering a 5-session book club on The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World. Each week, we’ll read two chapters of the book and finish up with a panel discussion on gratitude and reciprocity. We’ll explore this book together and see what we can learn about gratitude as a part of the gift economy.
Racial Reconciliation
Organized around the four sections of the Becoming Beloved Community labyrinth (telling the truth, repairing the breach, practicing the way, proclaiming the dream), this Lent curriculum can help your small group or congregation to engage in racial reconciliation and reflect on Jesus’ coming among us. Available in English, Spanish, and French.
Formation
Designed to follow the Revised Common Lectionary, these lesson plans are written by experienced church school teachers using practical approaches to respond to the needs of volunteer teachers. Available in English.
These devotions are written by ministers, professors, students, teachers, missionaries, denominational leaders, and others who work with and care for students. Typically, an author writes on a single theme for one week. In these devotions, you will read honest struggles and questions, all in the context of real faith. As you read the thoughts of the writers, think about your own response to the Scripture for the day. Let the writer’s words serve as background for your own conversation with God.
