One of the core values of the UTO Board is transparency. We believe that it is important to share details about the work of UTO with all our members and leaders, so in 2018 we began to publish an annual report. This year our committee spent a great deal of time thinking about what data was important to share and what stories needed to be told because we realized that the data tells a bit about the work that we do, but the stories we get to hear from you, our members and leaders, explain why the work of UTO is as vital today as it was in 1883.

Our committee also leaned into another core value of UTO—curiosity—and we asked our staff to help us gather data we’d not looked at before, like who are our donors. We found out that in 2024, 354 individuals, 523 parishes, 59 dioceses or diocesan ECWs (Episcopal Church Women), and 3 dioceses from the Anglican Communion contributed directly to UTO to create the Ingathering. We loved having the chance to see all the ways people participate in the Ingathering. We also compared material distribution from 2023 to 2024 and were thrilled to see the amazing growth in using UTO materials. Finally, we wanted to showcase the amazing talents of UTO members, so many of the pages showcase photos of Blue Boxes that were colored during General Convention. We hope you’ll take time to check out our 2024 Annual Report; if you’d like to read earlier editions you can find them here or here.
