United Thank Offering Grants

Over the next few months, the United Thank Offering Board will offer a variety of webinars to help those wishing to apply for a grant in the 2023 cycle.

In September, we will offer three webinars held in collaboration with the Global Partnerships Team. Two webinars will be offered for those interested in applying from Africa. To sign up for those, please contact Fr. Daniel Karanja directly. On Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. Eastern, we will offer a webinar on the grant process in Spanish.

We have invited people who are involved in prison ministry to speak about their experiences as well as other ministry options.

The purpose of this webinar is to help you understand what the focus entails and what kinds of projects UTO hopes to fund. Keep in mind that the focus is broad and covers a wide range of issues. This includes preventative or intervention ministries that address issues that lead to incarceration, ministries that assist inmates and/or their families, prison reform projects, and post-prison or re-entry ministries.

The application “helpful hints” page also includes registration information regarding the other webinars we will be offering to assist people with the application materials and submission process. These webinars are recommended for coordinators, members of your UTO grant selection committee, diocesan office personnel, and anyone who is interested in applying for a grant.

When you register, you will receive a confirmation email containing the link to attend the webinar. You will also receive a reminder email prior to the webinar.

The UTO Board is grateful for you and your participation in UTO. We invite you to practice gratitude often and help us to encourage others to live a gratitude-filled life. We look forward to seeing you in October.
