More than 1,000 Expected to Participate in EYE14

Youth Ministries

The numbers are in and registration for the Episcopal Youth Event 2014 (EYE14) is now officially closed. We offer prayers of praise and gratitude for everyone who has committed to participating in this exciting event.

Currently we have 78 dioceses registered and anticipate between 1,000 and 1,200 participants, including youth, adults, volunteers, bishops and staff. In addition, 3 Days of Urban Mission has reached capacity registration with 350 participants. Registration for bishops in our off-campus conference center lodging facility remains open through March 31. Information for registration was distributed individually via email and at the House of Bishops meeting.

We are now working with individual diocesan representatives to make necessary adjustments in registrations and verify information and are working with some of our international dioceses to assist with logistics.

In late April or early May, following our next Mission Planning Team Meeting, we will be sending out a suggested packing list, 3 Days of Urban Mission instructions, and other preparatory information.

Travel information from each diocese is due in May and final payment and participant forms are due by June 2, 2014.

Our Youth Ministry desk, supported by The Missionary Society’s Formation and Congregational Development Team, is working hard to organize the vast quantities of information we received in the previous months and to respond to requests for information in as much of a timely fashion as possible.

We invite you to continue praying for this event. And, stay tuned to www.episcoyouth.org and our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/episcopalyouthevent for more information as the date approaches.
