“Uninvited from their congregations for being too “spiritually generous, about ‘girls and gays’,” a group of faithful Episcopalians coalesced at a live theatre where they first-hand learned that church is not a building, to value everyone who walks in the doors, and that Jesus always shows up even though the set may consist of the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas’ yards of bordello red crushed velvet. As they began to outgrow this space the people discerned a call to create an innovative place that is primarily about serving the community at which they just happen to worship – Wellspring on Main.” – The Rev.
