“Journey Church focuses on welcoming marginalized people. Like a young mom, four months clean, sharing a prayer she wrote for people in addiction during worship. A gay man saying he is hated in this town, but in church he feels loved. A homeless woman organizing donated clothes and thanking me for letting her serve. A homeless man who “isn’t into religion” nonetheless sitting in the back pew, dumping a handful of change in the plate and whispering, “Sorry it isn’t more, it’s all I have.”” – The Rev.
