Hope and Bread Church, in Portland

“We gather each Sunday in a neighborhood park along the messy border between “Portland Proper” and East Portland, the latter distinguished by striking economic and cultural diversity, along with fewer trees and sidewalks. The park is an oasis for our unsheltered neighbors, as is the dinner and simple worship we offer each week, a gathering that centers and empowers the marginalized and powerless.
