Messiah and Trinity have a long history – Trinity presented one of the first performances of the work in North America in 1770, and the GRAMMY®- nominated Trinity Choir and Trinity Baroque Orchestra are still widely regarded as some of the greatest interpreters of the work. The ensemble’s 2012 performance was hailed by Zachary Woolfe of The New York Times “…to experience the full, formidable range of ‘Messiah,’ from the furious flames of the ‘refiner’s fire’ to the delirious party of the finale… let Trinity be your guide.” The Choir of Trinity Wall Street will also perform this perennial holiday favorite uptown at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on December 18.
